Step 1
Find studs in the wall using the Stud finder. Mark the letter “X” over each stud. The rack should be held on the horizontal side of the wall to see the need for marking more than 2 studs.

Step 2
Place the bottom part that is the cue rack in front of your wall by using the floor to ensure it’s horizontal. The bottom of the rack must not be more than 30 inches higher than the floor. If it’s too tall the ceiling could be covered in chalk marks caused by the cues.
Step 3
Fix the cue rack’s bottom part to your wall. Check using the level to make sure that it’s horizontal.
Step 4
Take a measurement of the length of the pool cue. Subtract 8 inches off the length and place the top part on the rack the same height as the lower piece. Utilize the level to make sure it’s horizontal and directly above the lower piece. Place the level in a perpendicular position to the end of the rack pieces.
This will ensure that your top rack piece sits directly above the bottom piece and makes sure that the cues are held horizontally. Fix the top piece of the wall onto the wall in this point.
